As an award-winning Lake Como Wedding Photographer, I am passionate about capturing all the moments and emotions from the wedding celebrations. However, I am also passionate about capturing you as a couple. There’s something magical about taking a tour around Lake Como to capture beautiful and elegant portraits of you.
As far as the eye can see, the breathtaking views are mesmerising: the deep blue waters, the wooded hillsides, the exquisite villas along the coast, boats dotted around the Lake, and all framed by the magnificent Alps.
There is so much to do around Lake Como. The lakeside cafes, the towns, the abundance of places for beautiful walks, and not forgetting the boating excursions around the Lake.
Visitors to Lake Como have a variety of beautiful towns to spend their time in. One of the most famous small towns on the western side of Lake Como is Laglio. Lake Como is also the home to celebrities and became a higher profile destination for tourists and destination weddings when George Clooney bought a villa in the lakeside village of Laglio.
A destination wedding is more than just the wedding day. Friends and family are arriving from everywhere, and it makes perfect sense to celebrate over several days. Another bonus of a destination Lake Como wedding is to enjoy your honeymoon immediately.
It’s easy to see why Lake Como, or Lario, known in Italy for its stunning views, has become such a popular and idyllic location for destination weddings!
Book early if your heart is set on one of the most beautiful Lake Como lakeside wedding venues, such as Villa Pizzo or Villa del Balbianello! Otherwise, most beautiful Lake Como wedding venues will already be booked, especially during the peak season between March and late October. However, July and August can be scorching!
Another reason to have a Lake Como wedding is for the tasty Italian cuisine. The wedding meals are delicious!
Wedding Photographer at Lake Como
The weather is perfect for your Lake Como wedding between March and late October, with Spring probably being the optimum time as it’s full of bloom and not sweltering hot!
I recommend holding your wedding ceremony in the late afternoon when it is fresher, and the sun is lower, so you’re not squinting in all your photographs.
The easiest way to get around Lake Como is by boat. The streets are narrow, and finding parking is extremely difficult. The boat ride also makes for incredible photographs, with the stunning Lake as the backdrop.

Lake Como Wedding Photography
The couple {C} & {K} had booked Villa Pizzo for their wedding celebrations. Villa Pizzo is a luxurious and beautiful villa between Cernobbio’s lovely villages and Moltrasio. It has the longest lakeside garden on Lake Como, perfect for the after-wedding ceremony celebrations.
Villa Pizzo’s terrace, next to Lake Como, allows you and your guests to take in the magnificent panorama of the area. Villa Pizzo is also isolated, so you can crank up the volume at the party!
Villa Pizzo provided a picture-perfect setting. Its elegant reception rooms and views of Lake Como were stunning, but the tremendous natural light added to the ambience and atmosphere.

Once ready, we drove to Villa Pizzo for ‘couple portraits’ before the guests arrived. Unfortunately, it was so hot that the ceremony was shifted by 2 hours!
The emotions ebbed and flowed throughout the day. I aimed to capture a genuine record of everyone’s feelings, from tender glances to teary, heartfelt hugs. It’s all there to see in the expressions and poses.
