Islington Town Hall Wedding Photography

Islington Town Hall is perfect for intimate weddings, and three rooms are available to tie your knot in. The Council Chamber is the most popular room, and anyone could see why. With the ancient oak-panelled walls, classic domed ceilings, and gorgeous stained glass windows, your wedding photographs will be the day’s highlight. 

The building was designed in the neoclassical style during the 1920s and took a lot of inspiration from ancient Greek and Roman architecture. This is reflected in the tall windows, grand portico entryway, and white brick aesthetic.

Additionally, the venue’s location, nestled in North London’s heart, is highly convenient and is perfect if you’re planning a reception in central London. Islington is an ideal location for wedding ceremonies, as it’s full of listed buildings, beautiful lush squares, and historic brick back-lanes.

 The area is surrounded by fantastic graffiti art, such as the famous Dan Kitchener Street Art, and gorgeous parks, such as Islington Green, perfect for your couple’s portraits. Wedding Photography at Islington Town Hall

{S} contacted me about six days before their wedding. With the details quickly agreed, I went to their flat on a relatively quiet Sunday morning. Walking through London and relishing the mainly traffic-free roads. was so peaceful and beautiful.

{S}’s father greeted me as {S} was busy getting ready. Slowly, the entire family of {S} and {K} arrived—nine in total, including the bride and groom. The wedding was intimate and the smallest-sized wedding I had ever photographed. I’m always looking to capture the mood of the celebrations and the raw emotions and moments, as you will see in the photographs!
