A Guide To Getting Married At
Northbrook Park

The Surrey-Hampshire Border Has Been Keeping This Secret For Years

Northbrook Park Wedding Photography

Picture the drive-in. A private road through 120 acres of Hampshire parkland, a Grade II listed Georgian mansion appearing through the trees, peacocks crossing the path ahead of you.

Your guests haven’t arrived yet. The morning belongs entirely to you.

Northbrook Park sits on the Surrey-Hampshire border near Farnham, close enough to London to be practical, yet far enough away to feel as if you have left it completely behind. It is the kind of venue that makes people go quiet when they first see it.

I photographed my first wedding here as a favour to a friend who wouldn’t take no for an answer. That day changed what I understood about what a venue can do for the people getting married in it. Northbrook Park has drawn me back ever since.

But the venue itself made it easier. The natural light, the calm spaces, the grounds that seemed to absorb the chaos and give it back as something quieter and more beautiful.

My approach to wedding photography is all about real moments between people, and Northbrook Park gives you the space for those moments to unfold naturally.

Every Kind Of Wedding,
Every Tradition

Northbrook Park works beautifully for all kinds of weddings.

I’ve photographed Jewish weddings here, the Tisch in the Vine Room, the Chuppah in the Walled Gardens, the Horah filling the Orangery late into the evening.

I’ve photographed Hindu weddings where the Baraat arrived along the driveway, and the ceremony filled the Great Hall.

I’ve photographed intimate civil ceremonies for 30 people and large multicultural celebrations for 200.

The venue adapts.

The grounds provide enough space for traditions that require room, including a Baraat procession, an outdoor ceremony, and a garden reception.

The interior spaces offer enough variety to accommodate traditions that need a specific setting.

Whatever your background, whatever your traditions, Northbrook Park can accommodate them. And I know how to photograph all of them.

Photographing Weddings At Northbrook Park

I know this venue well. I have been photographing weddings here since the early days of my career, and it is a place I keep coming back to.

I know how the light falls through the Vine Room in the morning and how the Orangery changes through the afternoon. I know which corners of the walled gardens work at different times of year and where to take you across the 120 acres of parkland when the late afternoon light is doing exactly what you hoped it would.

The peacocks roam freely through the grounds during the drinks reception. I have never once had to stage that photograph.

Getting ready on-site means I can be with both of you during the morning without rushing between locations. With 10 cottages sleeping up to 80 guests, the whole wedding party is already there when the day begins.

120 acres, a Georgian mansion and peacocks that appear exactly when you need them. The photographs take care of themselves.

Why Couples Choose A
Northbrook Park Wedding

Completely Yours

Northbrook Park hosts one wedding per day, every time.
The venue, the grounds, the team, all of it focused entirely on you.

Wake Up On Site

Ten self-catering cottages sleep up to 80 guests.

The entire wedding party can arrive the night before, wake up together and begin the day without a single car journey.

The morning photographs are taken on the estate itself rather than at a nearby hotel.

Dry Hire Freedom

Choose your own caterer, florist and suppliers from the venue’s recommended list.

Your vision, not a pre-set package.

The Wildlife

The peacocks roaming the grounds during drinks, the walled gardens in full bloom, the 120 acres of parkland for golden hour portraits.

There is genuinely nothing in the photographs that looks like it came from a venue brochure.

Getting Ready At Northbrook Park

You can get ready on site. This matters more than most couples realise when they are planning the day.

Northbrook Park has 10 self-catering cottages across the estate, sleeping up to 80 guests. Your closest people are already there when you wake up.

No rushing between hotels, no car journeys in your dress, no waiting for people to arrive from somewhere else. The morning unfolds exactly as it should — slowly, on your terms, with the people you love most already around you.
From a photography perspective, staying on site means I can move between each partner as they prepare without losing time.

Your dad adjusting his tie in the cottage doorway. Your mum sees you in your outfit for the first time. Your best man attempting his speech one final time.

These are the photographs couples tell me they treasure most, and they only happen when there is time and space for them to unfold.

The morning after the wedding, everyone gathers for breakfast. The celebration extends beyond the day itself.

The Ceremony Spaces

Northbrook Park gives you several options for where you say your vows, each with a completely different feel

The Vine Room

Accommodates up to 200 guests. High ceilings, chandeliers, marble flooring, and large windows that let in light.

The fireplace at the far end makes a natural focal point, especially when dressed with flowers.

The Walled Gardens

For outdoor ceremonies. Kept lawns, water features and a beautiful mature magnolia tree.

When the weather plays along, there’s nothing quite like getting married outside here.

Northbrook Park is well prepared for British weather; there are nearby sheltered alternatives that work just as well for photographs if the sky doesn’t cooperate.

The Orangery

The largest ceremony space, holding up to 250 guests.

A glass ceiling, exposed brick walls and views out over the enclosed gardens. The light in here throughout the day is exceptional.

St Mary’s Church

If you prefer a church ceremony, the village church is accessible from the estate.

You get the tradition of a church wedding with the convenience of the Northbrook Park reception.

The Reception Spaces

The Walled Gardens and Nuns Garden

Drinks and canapés in the gardens while you step away for portraits.

Lawn games on the central lawn, flower beds in full colour, water features catching the light.

The peacocks roam freely through all of it. In summer, these gardens hold the celebration naturally without any additional styling.

The Vine Room

Up to 120 guests for the wedding breakfast. Crystal chandeliers, delicate vine leaf carvings, tall French windows opening to the terrace and marble flooring throughout.

In winter, the roaring fire at the centre of the room makes the Vine Room feel like the warmest place in Hampshire. In summer, the terrace doors open and the outside comes in.

The Orangery

Up to 250 guests for the wedding breakfast, with direct access to the Walled Gardens.

A glass roof, exposed brick walls, a built-in bar and enough scale for large celebrations without losing the sense of everyone being together. The Orangery handles the evening reception and dancing, too, with no room turnaround required.

How Much Does It Cost To Get Married At Northbrook Park?

Northbrook Park operates on a dry hire basis, which means the venue hire covers the spaces and grounds but not catering, staffing or bar service, giving you the freedom to bring your own suppliers and build your day around your own vision.

Venue hire ranges from around £2,500 (2026) for a weekday in the off-peak winter months to approximately £15,000 for a peak season Saturday.

Northbrook Park doesn’t charge corkage before 7pm, which is unusual and can save a considerable amount on a large celebration.

After 7pm a corkage fee applies if you continue providing your own drinks, or you can use their bar company instead.

QUESTIONS?

01 / How Many Guests Can Northbrook Park Accommodate?

Up to 250 guests in the Orangery, up to 200 in the Vine Room, and smaller numbers for the Walled Gardens outdoor ceremony. There are also 10 self-catering cottages sleeping up to 80 guests overnight.

03 / Do We Need A Second Photographer At Northbrook Park?

For most weddings here I’d recommend considering it. If you’re getting ready on site, a second photographer can cover one partner’s preparation while I stay with the other partner, or vice versa.

For large weddings with multiple traditions happening simultaneously, two photographers mean nothing gets missed.

02 / Is Northbrook Park Suitable For Multi-Cultural Weddings?

Yes. I’ve photographed Jewish, Hindu, Sikh and multi-cultural fusion weddings at Northbrook Park.

The venue has the space and the flexibility for traditions that need room, a Baraat arrival along the driveway, an outdoor ceremony in the Walled Gardens, a large Horah in the Orangery. The team are experienced in working with couples from all backgrounds.

04. Do You Know The Venue?

I photographed my first wedding here and have returned many times since. I know the light at different times of day, which spaces work best for which kinds of photographs, and how to get the most from the grounds across different seasons.
