LONDON ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

Are you planning a London Engagement Photography session? Or perhaps a romantic photo session to celebrate an anniversary or other special occasion?

Maybe you’ve thought about some fantastic photographs as the two of you explore London’s historic and iconic sights.

As a London Engagement Photographer, I love wandering the streets of one of the world’s most recognisable cities while capturing beautiful and natural portraits of fun couples.

The gorgeous sights of London make a fantastic backdrop for your celebratory photographs, and you can make an entire day out of wandering the city with a photographer to catch the perfect shot.

The Thames has inspired artists and creatives for generations, and I’m no different. With historical and classic landmarks such as Tower Bridge, Southbank, The London Eye and Big Ben, the Thames attracts couples worldwide for a good reason!

London’s architecture has been carefully designed and built for over 2000 years.

As a photographer based in London, I love wandering the streets of one of the world’s oldest cities while capturing its beautiful features.

An engagement session is perfect for us to get to know each other.

We’d meet in London for a drink before the engagement photography session and chat about your wedding. Once you are relaxed, we will spend around one and a half hours taking fun and relaxed photographs.

My priority is to make my couples feel relaxed and comfortable. Whether we’re walking along the Westminster streets or in one of the iconic parks, I want to get to know you and your relationship. So I can capture the true essence of you as a couple.

After a relaxed couple of hours wandering around London together, you will feel like you are welcoming a friend rather than meeting a stranger when your wedding day arrives.
A London engagement photography session is also a great way to experience being in front of the camera.
You’ll soon realise that my approach is relaxed and authentic. I won’t ask you to do anything in front of the camera that is out of character or makes you feel awkward.
When your wedding comes around, you’ll be completely relaxed and at ease in front of the camera.

My London Engagement Photography sessions also tell heartfelt stories of your relationship. I capture the moments that occur as you naturally interact with each other, all set against the city’s beautiful and iconic backdrops.

Picking a London Location

If you’re having trouble considering the best locations, I can suggest ideas and places for your Engagement session.

London is a vast metropolis with many beautiful and iconic places for your London engagement photography session. If there are areas with special meaning for you, tell me all about them, and we’ll plan them into the session.

Consider the places significant to you both, such as where you met, had a first date, enjoyed visiting, or enjoyed activities you both enjoyed participating in. I want your engagement photographs to reflect your relationship as much as possible.

WHERE?

Why not visit the vibrant and colourful Notting Hill and see the shop made famous by the film of the same name?

Or maybe we can take a walk along the South Bank, taking in the iconic landmarks of St. Katherine’s Docks, Tower Bridge, London Bridge, Borough Market, Shakespeare’s Globe, The Millennium Bridge, the historic St. Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

Maybe the canals of Little Venice, Regent’s Park and Camden Town. Or perhaps you prefer the delights of Shoreditch, Spitalfields, and Regents Canal?

The quiet mews streets such as those made famous by ‘Love Actually’ and ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’ make a classic and romantic backdrop, or around Central London, Buckingham Palace, and the streets around London Victoria.

BAD WEATHER?

After capturing the getting ready photographs, one of my favourite parts of an Indian ceremony is The Baraat, also called The Jaan or Vara Yatra.

The Groom, with his close family members and friends, proceeds to the wedding venue, accompanied by live music, dancing, and enthusiastic celebrations. The procession is often led by the dhol players, the “baraat band”.

I love the varied nature of this tradition, from Grooms arriving by foot, car, and, more traditionally, on a horse.
One thing is common.

You can feel the energy and fun as the processional dance to the Dhol players. With so much going on, having a second photographer is handy.

The second photographer can capture different angles, the anticipation of the Bride’s family waiting to greet the Baraat (Jaan/Vara Yatra).

WHAT TO WEAR?

Anything you feel great in! Dress up, dress down, whatever feels good to you.

Colourful outfits have an added pop when viewed. However, very bright colours can also distract, too.

Coordinate your outfits rather than try to match them.

Empty your front pockets.

A change of clothes means you can get two different looks.
