London Engagement Photography
Are you planning a London Engagement Photography session? Or perhaps a romantic photoshoot to celebrate an anniversary or other special occasion?
Maybe you’ve thought about some fantastic photographs as the two of you explore the historic and iconic sights of London.
As a London Engagement Photographer, I love wandering the streets of one of the world’s most recognisable cities while capturing beautiful and natural portraits of fun couples.
The gorgeous sights of London make a fantastic backdrop for your celebratory photographs, and you can make an entire day out of wandering the city with a photographer to catch the perfect shot.
The Thames has been the inspiration for artists and creatives for generations, and I’m no different. With historical and classic landmarks such as Tower Bridge, Southbank, The London Eye and Big Ben, the Thames attracts couples from all over the world, and for a good reason!
London’s architecture has been carefully designed and built for over 2000 years. As a photographer based in the London area, I love wandering the streets of one of the world’s oldest cities whilst capturing the beautiful features of this city.
London Engagement Photographer
An engagement session is a perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other too.
We’d meet up in a London location for a drink before the engagement photography session, and just chat about your wedding. Once you are relaxed, we will spend around one and a half hours taking fun and relaxed photographs.
My priority is to make my couples feel relaxed and comfortable. Whether we’re walking along the Westminster streets or in one of the iconic parks, I want to get to know you and your relationship. So I can capture the true essence of you as a couple.
After a relaxed couple of hours wandering around London together, you will feel like you are welcoming a friend, rather than meeting a stranger, when your wedding day arrives.
A London engagement photography session is also a great way to experience being in front of the camera.
You’ll soon realise that my approach is relaxed and authentic, I won’t ask you to do anything in front of the camera that is out of character or makes you feel awkward.
When your wedding comes around you’ll be completely relaxed and at ease in front of the camera.
My London Engagement Photography sessions also tell heartfelt stories of your relationship. I capture the moments that occur as you naturally interact with each other, all set against the city’s beautiful and iconic backdrops.
If you’re having trouble thinking of the best locations, I’m happy to suggest ideas and places for your Engagement session. Picking a London Location
London is a vast metropolis and has so many beautiful and iconic places for your London engagement photography session. If there are areas with special meaning for you make sure you tell me all about them and we’ll plan them into the session.
Consider the places that are of significance to you both, such as the place where you met, had a first date, enjoy visiting, or activities you both enjoy participating in. I want your engagement photographs to reflect your relationship as much as possible.
Why not visit the vibrant and colourful Notting Hill, and see the shop made famous by the film of the same name?
Or maybe we can take a walk along the South Bank, taking in the iconic landmarks of St. Katherine’s Docks, Tower Bridge, London Bridge, Borough Market, Shakespeare’s Globe, The Millennium Bridge, the historic St. Paul’s Cathedral, to the London Eye, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
Maybe the canals of Little Venice, Regent’s Park and Camden Town.
Or perhaps you prefer the delights of Shoreditch, Spitalfields, and Regents Canal?
The quiet mews streets such as made famous by ‘Love Actually’ and ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’ make a classic and romantic backdrop, or around Central London, Buckingham Palace, and the streets around London Victoria
If you’re having trouble thinking of the best locations, I’m happy to suggest ideas and places for your London engagement photography session.
If you live in the UK, then you know how variable the weather can be on any given day.
So what happens if the weather is terrible for your scheduled London engagement photography session?
No need to worry! In an urban city like London, there are lots of opportunities to use indoor areas and a wet day can be a great opportunity to get creative with your photographs, such as using reflections in puddles.
However, if the weather is really bad we can always reschedule.
What to Wear?
- Anything you feel great in! Dress up, dress down, whatever feels good to you.
- Colourful outfits have an added pop when viewed. However, very bright colours can also distract too.
- Co-ordinate outfits, rather than trying to match them.
- Empty your front pockets.
- A change of clothes means you can get two different looks.
