A Guide To Getting Married At
Pennyhill Park
Your Elegant Surrey Wedding, Perfectly Imagined
Pennyhill Park Wedding Photography
Picture starting your wedding day in elegant suites, surrounded by 120 acres of parkland, your ceremony in the sunlit Pavilion with views of manicured lawns, then move easily into the Terrace Wing for your reception, champagne in hand.
Pennyhill Park has a special charm that lets every couple picture themselves exchanging vows, celebrating with friends and family, and enjoying quiet moments in the gardens. From your first visit, it feels grand yet personal.
A Pennyhill Park wedding feels relaxed and private from the start, which is surprising given it’s only forty-five minutes from central London.
Pennyhill Park sits on 123 acres of Surrey countryside. It’s a five-star country house hotel with a 45,000-square-foot spa, a Michelin-starred restaurant, 124 unique bedrooms, and a wedding wing that’s all yours for the day. Every detail is considered, from your first morning to the last dance and breakfast the next day.
If you want your Surrey wedding to feel like a true event, not just a single day, this is the place.
My approach to wedding photography is all about real moments between people, and Pennyhill Park gives you the space for those moments to unfold naturally.

Photographing Weddings At Pennyhill Park
I know this venue well. I know how the light moves through the Terrace Wing suites in the morning, how it changes across the grounds through the afternoon, and which spots across the 123 acres photograph best at different times of year.
The lily pond terrace during the drinks reception. The formal gardens for portraits as the afternoon light softens. The ivy-clad facade of the mansion at golden hour. The parkland beyond the formal gardens when you want something with real depth and space.
Whether your ceremony takes place inside one of the rooms or outside in the grounds, I know exactly where to be and when.
Getting ready on-site means I can be with both of you in the morning without rushing between locations. If you want full coverage of both partners preparing separately, a second photographer is worth considering.
The moments that matter most on a wedding day are rarely the ones you planned. I am there for all of them.

Pennyhill Park is not a venue that also does weddings; it is a venue where weddings are the point.
The Grounds For Portraits
123 acres of Surrey countryside with the ivy-clad mansion, the lily pond, formal gardens and open parkland.
Golden hour at Pennyhill Park is one of the best portrait opportunities at any venue I photograph in the county.

The day is entirely self-contained and exactly as unhurried as it should be.

The morning of your wedding begins here if you want it to, and the night before belongs entirely to your guests.

Getting Ready At Pennyhill Park
The Terrace Wing has dedicated getting-ready spaces for both the couple and the wedding party, all within the hotel.
Your morning starts in the bridal suite, either the Heywood or the Royal Ascot Suite. These rooms feature large windows, ample natural light, and plenty of space for your hair and makeup team, your wedding party, and special moments with your family.
The groom and his groomsmen also have their own space in the hotel.
When you get ready at Pennyhill Park, your whole morning is captured in one place. All your getting-ready photos are taken in the beautiful light of this venue, with no need to travel or rush between locations.
At a recent wedding I photographed here, the groom spent his morning in the spa. He came to the ceremony truly relaxed, and you could see it in every photograph after that.

The Ceremony Spaces
You have been together long enough to know exactly how you want the moment to feel. Pennyhill Park offers several options, from the intimate and candlelit to the grand and column-flanked, so the ceremony itself feels as if it were designed specifically for the two of you.
The Pavilion
The outdoor ceremony space is the one most couples ask about first.
A gorgeous wrought-iron structure on a tiered grass terrace, completely surrounded by 120 acres of greenery.
Guests sit on the tiered terrace where they can see and hear the vows clearly. The Pavilion can be dressed however you like, with floral archways, lanterns, and fairy lights, and there’s always an indoor wet-weather option on standby, so you’re never at the mercy of the forecast.
The Library
For indoor ceremonies up to 100 guests. Traditionally-styled, wood-panelled, with two working fireplaces, large stained-glass windows and direct access to the terrace outside.
The bookcase backdrop lends itself brilliantly to fairy lights and floral styling.
The Carolean
A smaller, more intimate ceremony space for up to 30 guests. A feature fireplace, large original windows and views out over the grounds. Perfect for couples who want something genuinely private and personal.

The Reception Spaces
The Parkview
Full of natural light from dual-aspect windows with gold chandeliers and opulent furnishings.
A private stone balcony looks out over the golf course. Works beautifully for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
The Balmoral
The largest reception suite at Pennyhill Park, accommodating up to 240 guests with handcrafted chandeliers, a private bar, reception area and dual-aspect views over The Spa.
The Sandringham suite opposite is provided complimentary with the Balmoral hire, ideal for evening entertainment.
The Water Lily
A beautiful space with hand-painted panelling and floral sculptural lighting, ideal for indoor drinks receptions.

The Windsor and Eton
The second largest suite with magnificent chandeliers and wood panelling, doors opening onto a private terrace and lawn. Capacity for 168 guests.
The Fairway
Located in the Terrace Wing with direct access to the Lily Pond Terrace. Features include an open fireplace, wrought-iron ceiling fans, and crystal chandeliers. Accommodates up to 60 guests.
The Lily Pond Terrace
Running directly up from the Pavilion, this is the natural choice for an outdoor drinks reception following a garden ceremony.
Guests can roam around the two lily ponds with the ivy-clad house as the backdrop, one of the most photographically rich spaces at the entire venue.
How Much Does It Cost To Have A Wedding At Pennyhill Park?
Pennyhill Park offers bespoke wedding packages rather than fixed pricing, so the total cost varies significantly depending on the day of the week, the time of year, the spaces you choose and your guest numbers. That said, here’s a realistic guide to what to expect.
Entry-level packages start from around £4,600 on a weekday in the off-peak months, based on 70 guests.
Weekend packages run considerably higher. A Saturday in peak season with 80 guests starts from around £7,600 for the venue package alone.
Exclusive use of the entire hotel is available from £90,000 and covers all 124 bedrooms, all event spaces and the full run of the property for your celebration.
All catering must come from Pennyhill Park’s own kitchen, there is no dry hire option here. The food is exceptional, four AA Rosettes, which is reflected in the per-head costs but also in how the day feels. Guests at Pennyhill Park weddings consistently comment on the food as a highlight of the day.

The Spa
Pennyhill Park Weddings
The Pennyhill Park spa is 45,000 sq ft, one of the largest hotel spas in the UK, with multiple pools, hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas and a full treatment menu. Wedding guests receive preferential rates.
For the couple, the day before the wedding is worth planning around the spa. A treatment or a few hours by the pool before everything begins is a genuinely good idea, and it’s one of the things Pennyhill Park does that most wedding venues simply can’t offer.

Staying At And Getting To Pennyhill Park
Pennyhill Park Wedding Photography
Pennyhill Park has 124 individually designed bedrooms, so a significant number of your guests can stay on-site. All room rates for wedding guests include breakfast and spa access until 2 pm after checkout. Five bedrooms in the Terrace Wing are reserved as part of the wedding package, and the honeymoon suite, either the Heywood or the Royal Ascot Suite, depending on your package, is included in most wedding arrangements.
For guests who cannot get a room at Pennyhill Park, Bagshot and Camberley both have additional accommodation within 10 minutes by car.
Pennyhill Park is in Bagshot, Surrey, just off the A30, moments from Junction 3 of the M3 and Junction 6 of the M4. From London, it is approximately 45 minutes by car. From Heathrow, around 30 minutes. From Gatwick, allow around an hour.
The nearest train station is Bagshot, served by South Western Railway from London Waterloo in around 45 minutes, with the hotel a short taxi ride away. A helicopter landing pad is available for those arriving that way. Ample on-site parking is available for all guests.
