Woolston Manor Wedding Photography

Woolston Manor Wedding Photography. Shivani and Rimesh married at the beautiful Woolston Manor in Chigwell, Essex.

As a Surrey Wedding Photographer, I was already familiar with the Manor and knew it stood next to a vast 18 hole golf course which would make for fantastic photographs of the couple.

With both the bride and groom having a strong Indian heritage, the preparations for the wedding were a busy and bustling family affair and were almost as exciting as the wedding itself.

Shivani and Rimesh got ready at the same home in Enfield with both sets of parents present, along with a whole host of other family members.

Although I did shoot some black and white pictures here, much of what I did during the prep was in colour as the fantastic colours of the guests’ sarees and designer bindis was a joy to capture, and it helps to emphasise the vibrancy of the day.

Once everyone was ready, we all made the drive to Woolston Manor about 30 minutes away.

Once a grand, private residence, Woolston Manor now acts as a prestigious golf and country club, with golfers from around the world flocking here for the challenging holes along the semi-forested course, and it’s a hugely popular place for events due to the breathtaking scenery surrounding it.

Although Shivani and Rimesh had opted for a more westernised wedding, Woolston Manor is renowned for their Asian weddings, boasting strong links to some of the region’s best Asian caterers.

The wedding ceremony took place in the Manor Room, which was the perfect choice for Shivani and Rimesh as the understated decor allowed for the couple to put their spin on things.

They chose a romantic red and white theme that perfectly complimented by the light oak panelling of the Manor Room.

Once again, colour photography was my preferred method here.

As a Surrey wedding photographer, I’ve photographed many Indian families watching their children get married. However, I’m still amazed by the vibrant and bold colours of the outfits, and I love being able to show these off through my photography.

Following the ceremony, it was time for the guests to enjoy some champagne while I whisked the newlyweds away for some couples portraits.

We did some inside, and then, as the weather was stunning and the sun was shining, we decided to get out onto the golf course (being extremely careful, of course, we didn’t want any stray balls flying today!).

We couldn’t have picked a better time to be out in the grounds of the Manor – the light in the sky was at such a point that I could take some natural shots as well as some dramatic flash photography.

Using off-camera flash, I had much more control over the lighting, and the results were incredible.

The newlyweds can’t wait to celebrate their marriage in the love capital of the world – the city of romance, and what better way to create everlasting memories than to document the trip through a series of photographs.
