Savill Court Wedding Photography
Savill Court Wedding Photography. Sonia and Rony chose the stunning setting of the Savill Court Hotel in Windsor for their wedding day.
The historic building provided the perfect fairy-tale backdrop – a Georgian manor surrounded by acres of beautiful gardens and woodlands.
With the bridal and groom preparations in the same place, I began by capturing some lovely natural getting-ready shots, including a touching image of Sonia’s bridal party gently, reassuringly holding her hand.
The wedding party proceeded by car from the Savill Court Hotel to St. Edward’s RC Church in Windsor.
I always endeavour to record the meaningful, honest moments in my wedding photography, and the tender interaction between Sonia and her father outside shows their feelings perfectly – the immensely proud – yet visibly moved – father about to give his daughter away.
After the ceremony, the broad smiles, bear hugs and happy tears say it all! Sonia and Rony walked the Long Walk from Windsor Castle.
With the rain at bay, this provided the ideal opportunity to capture some striking, yet very natural, post-wedding shots of the couple talking happily and enjoying a moment together to take it all in.
One of my favourite images of this time is the tender kiss between Sonia and Rony in the wedding car – something about the ‘outside looking in’ perspective, moody sky and raindrop-covered glass give the image a magical, otherworldly element.
Savill Court Wedding Photographer – Stunning Couple Portraits & a Starlit Reception
As the afternoon turned to the evening, the wedding party moved into the Great Hall, now lit by a vast canopy of fairy lights.
The lighting added to the party atmosphere, and I had great fun shooting Sonia and Rony and their guests letting their hair down, singing and dancing – just having an absolute ball!
Another favourite image is the portrait of Sonia and Rony holding each other at the Savill Court Hotel entrance – the lighting from the old lamp posts, the couple’s silhouette and the classic hotel sign give the photograph a timeless, vintage Hollywood quality.
It was a pleasure to be part of Sonia and Rony’s wedding day and be their Savill Court Wedding Photographer, and I wish them every happiness in the future.
A big thanks to my dear friends Gabriela Matei and Marius Tudor for their support and for helping capture an awesome day.
