Richmond Park Engagement Photography
Welcome to Richmond Park Engagement Photography. Richmond Park is a gorgeous space for a Surrey engagement photography session. I have photographed several couples for their Richmond Park Engagement Photography session.
As a Surrey wedding photographer, I know the ins and outs of this Park and love to document couples as they explore its splendour. This creates beautiful, non-posed, genuine images that portray their authentic connection.
One of the most splendid areas of Richmond Park is the Isabella Plantation, with its gorgeous evergreen Azaleas. This garden plantation also features rhododendrons and camellias, which make beautiful backdrops. Plus, Richmond Park has many notable ancient oak trees that add a sense of grandeur to pictures and moments.
Richmond Park is also famous for its deer. Many of the Couples I have photographed for their Richmond Park Engagement Photography have been lucky to experience Richmond Park’s red and fallow deer.
Surrey Engagement Photography
The biggest notable structure, passing by Poet’s Corner, is Pembroke Lodge, an elegant mansion and colourful eleven acres of landscaped garden.
Pembroke Lodge is a stunning Georgian mansion with a Grade II listing, located on the highest grounds of Richmond Park, London, with views across the Thames Valley and over to Surrey and Windsor and Surrey. Their tea rooms and gardens are open if you want to explore the area.
I like to use the engagement sessions to get to know each other and help the couple feel more relaxed in front of my camera. And as a bonus, the couple will also have some beautiful photographs to remember our fun day.
If you love the look of Pembroke Lodge as much as I do, you’ll be pleased to know it is available for hire as a wedding venue, with seating for up to 140 guests, and has its tea rooms and gardens open for those who want to explore.
With this in mind, I keep most of the Richmond Park Engagement Photography session focused on the gardens when photographing at Pembroke Lodge.
King Henry’s Mound is located in the garden, and the dome of St Paul’s Cathedral is visible ten miles to the east, while Thames Valley stands to the west.
However, this romantic setting has a very unromantic backstory. The spot earned its name as Henry VII of England watched a rocket which was launched on 19 May 1536 from the Tower of London to signal the execution of his wife, Anne Boleyn.
Engagement Photography at Richmond Park
Another favourite spot for an Engagement Photography session at Richmond Park is Pen Ponds, a stunning vista. I have captured beautiful waterfront photographs of couples as part of their Richmond Park Engagement Photography there. These ponds date back to ditches dug in the 17th century to drain the boggy grounds, but Richmond Park has numerous other ponds and lakes that you can explore.
Engagement sessions are about more than just the romance; I also take time to get to know the couple. It also lets them get familiar with me, so we are like old friends on their wedding day. As a result, their wedding photographs can showcase their authentic selves as they are relaxed and trust that I will offer the best.
