Kensington and Chelsea Old Town Hall Wedding Photographer
Chelsea Old Town Hall Wedding Photographer. I must admit I get an extra special tingle of excitement whenever I have to shoot a wedding at Chelsea Old Town Hall.
Situated in the hippest part of London, on King’s Road, SW3, the Chelsea Register Office has hosted more than its fair share of famous matrimonies.
So when Tara and Hariz invited me to photograph their small, intimate ceremony and reception in February 2014, I was delighted to accept.
Perfectly Petite Wedding Party
The capacity of the Register Office just holds 40, so only a select few family and friends were in attendance.
Despite the grand surrounding, the atmosphere remained fun and informal throughout, which helped settle any wedding day nerves.
The bride looked stunning in a chic full-length dress with a lace body, clutching a bouquet of pure white roses.
Following Famous Footsteps
After the wedding Tara and Hariz followed in the famous footsteps of George Best, Michael Winner, Patrick Vieira, and Judy Garland (to name just a few), to descend what must be the most photographed stairs in Britain.
Their guests formed the guard of honour, lavishly sprinkling the bride and groom with confetti as they passed through.

Urban Photographic Opportunities
Photographers often quickly move away from this wedding venue, in favour of a more green and leafy backdrop.
I was delighted Tara and Hariz wanted to capture a few images right there on the King’s Road, with a row of uniform mansion houses lined up behind them.
House Party Reception
Back at Tara’s parent’s house, the party atmosphere continued with their guests.
Guests quickly scattered to all corners of the property, including outdoors onto the roof terrace. Undeterred, I hunted them all out, so I could capture all the guests in unguarded moments.
I couldn’t resist snapping the family cats, who were hiding out under the spiral staircase. From here they enjoyed a full view of the party, without getting under anyone’s feet.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Tara and Tariz for allowing me to be part of their wedding day and to wish good health and good fortune to their expanding family.
