Engagement Photography London
Are you planning an Engagement Photography session in London? Or perhaps a romantic photoshoot to celebrate an anniversary or other special occasion?
Maybe you’ve thought about some fantastic photos as the two of you explore the historic and iconic sights of London.
As a London Engagement Photographer, I love wandering the streets of one of the world’s most recognisable cities while capturing beautiful and natural portraits of fun couples.
London Engagement Photography
A pre-wedding engagement photoshoot is a perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other.
After a relaxed couple of hours wandering around London together you will feel like you are welcoming a friend, rather than meeting a stranger, when your wedding day arrives.
A London Engagement Shoot is also a great way to experience being in front of the camera.
You’ll soon realise that my approach is relaxed and authentic, I won’t ask you to do anything in front of the camera that is out of character or makes you feel awkward.
When your wedding comes around you’ll be completely relaxed and at ease in front of the camera.
My London Engagement Photoshoots tell the honest story of your relationship, capturing the in-between ‘blink-and-you’ll-miss-them’ moments that occur as you interact with each other, all set against the wonderful and iconic backdrop of the city.
If there are areas with special meaning for you make sure you tell me all about them and we’ll plan them into the session.
Picking a Location
London is a vast metropolis and has so many beautiful and iconic places for your London Engagement Photography session.
Consider the places that are of significance to you both, such as the place where you met, had a first date, enjoy visiting, or activities you both enjoy participating in.
Why not visit the vibrant and colourful Notting Hill, and see the shop made famous by the film of the same name?
Or maybe we can take a walk along the South Bank, taking in the iconic landmarks of St. Katherine’s Docks, Tower Bridge, London Bridge, Borough Market, Shakespeare’s Globe, The Millennium Bridge, the historic St. Paul’s Cathedral, to the London Eye, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
Maybe the canals of Little Venice, Regent’s Park and Camden Town.
Or perhaps you prefer the delights of Shoreditch, Spitalfields, and Regents Canal?
The quiet mews streets such as made famous by ‘Love Actually’. or around Central London, Buckingham Palace, and the streets around London Victoria.
I’m also an experienced destination engagement photographer.
If you’d like to venture overseas for a romantic photoshoot to tell the unique story of your relationship how about taking a stroll through the streets of Paris, a speedboat ride across Lake Como or wandering around the historic streets of Croatia?
Having photographed Engagement Photography sessions around the UK and Europe, I’m happy to suggest ideas and locations for your Engagement Shoot.
If you live in the UK, then you know how variable the weather can be on any given day.
So what happens if the weather is terrible for your scheduled Engagement Shoot?
No need to worry! In an urban city like London, there are lots of opportunities to use indoor areas and a wet day can be a great opportunity to get creative with your photos, such as using reflections in puddles.
However, if the weather is really bad we can always reschedule.
What to Wear?
- Anything you feel great in! Dress up, dress down, whatever feels good to you.
- Colourful outfits have an added pop when viewed. However, very bright colours can also distract too.
- Co-ordinate outfits, rather than trying to match them.
- Empty your front pockets.
- A change of clothes means you can get two different looks.
