Botleys Mansion sits in Chertsey, Surrey, 30 minutes from central London and 15 minutes from Heathrow, yet so completely secluded within its 56 acres of rolling parkland that the city feels like a different world.
The house is yours for 24 hours. Not shared with another wedding, not managed around someone else’s schedule. Entirely, exclusively yours.
The venue can also arrange fireworks with permission from the local authority.

I know how the light moves through the getting-ready room in the morning, how the Atrium changes through the day, and which spots across the 56 acres of parkland photograph best at different times of year.
The staircase descent into the Atrium is one of the defining moments of any Botleys Mansion wedding day. The reactions on the faces of the people in that room, the scale of the space behind you, the chandeliers above, I position myself at the base of the staircase before you begin your descent, and I stay there until the moment has fully passed.
The confetti on the mansion lawn with the Palladian facade behind you. The parkland portraits as the light drops across the grounds. The fountain courtyard at the front of the house. These are locations that reward a photographer who has spent time here and knows exactly when to use them.
Getting ready on-site means I can be with both of you in the morning without rushing between locations.

You can get ready on site. From 9 am, the dedicated Getting Ready Room is yours, with four makeup stations, exceptional natural light, a complimentary bottle of chilled sparkling wine, and a backdrop that looks beautiful in photographs without any additional styling.
Your wedding party, your mother, your hair and makeup team, all in one place, all within the venue you are getting married in.
No car journeys, no timing anxiety, no rushing. The morning belongs to you.
After the wedding, the Botleys Suite is yours for the night, with 11 further bedrooms for the closest family and friends.
The morning after, everyone gathers in the Dining Room for breakfast. The celebration extends beyond the day itself.
The Ceremony Spaces
Botleys Mansion is fully licensed for civil ceremonies both indoors and outdoors, and the choice of setting is one of the things couples appreciate most when they first visit.
The Green Room
On the piano nobile, the raised ground floor of the house, the Green Room seats up to 131 guests.
Pastel tones, golden chandeliers and intricately carved ceilings give it a soft, romantic quality that photographs beautifully in natural light.
The acoustics here are exceptional; a string quartet in the Green Room sounds extraordinary. For couples who want something intimate and characterful rather than grand and cavernous, this is the room.
The Atrium
For larger ceremonies of up to 288 guests. A contemporary glass-roofed space flooded with natural light by day, a magical spectacle in the evening when seven glittering chandeliers reflect across every surface. The central staircase is the defining feature.
The moment you begin your descent into a room full of people who love you is one of the best moments of the entire day. I always position myself at the base of the staircase before the bride arrives.
The Mansion Lawn
The outdoor ceremony option, with the house’s Palladian facade as the backdrop. Licensed for outdoor ceremonies, with a pretty gazebo as the centrepiece.
For couples who have always imagined marrying under an open sky, the Mansion Lawn frames the moment beautifully. The wet-weather backup is a seamless switch indoors; the venue team plans for it from the start.
The Reception Spaces
The Fountain and Mansion Lawn
After the ceremony, guests spill outside for drinks. Bottomless Pimm’s by the fountain in summer, champagne and canapés on the lawn with the house behind you. This is the moment the day opens up; the photographs here almost take themselves.
While guests celebrate, you slip away for portraits in the parkland.
The Entrance Hall and Morning Room
For winter celebrations, the drinks reception moves inside. Velvet sofas, a grand piano, the Morning Room and Library offering a period-drama elegance that winter weddings at Botleys carry particularly well.
Guests gather around the piano while candlelight builds across the rooms.
The Atrium
After drinks, guests take their seats in the Atrium for the wedding breakfast. The glass roof, the chandeliers and the sheer scale of the room mean the wedding breakfast here looks spectacular in photographs regardless of how it is dressed. The Atrium holds up to 288 for dinner.
For the evening, the Atrium’s wings open to reveal the evening entertainment, a seamless transition from the last course to the first dance. Up to 500 guests for the evening party. Live bands, DJs, photobooths, espresso martini towers, the space handles all of it.
How Much Does It Cost To Have A Wedding At Botleys Mansion?
Botleys Mansion is an exclusive-use venue, which means the hire covers the entire house and all 56 acres of grounds for 24 hours. All 12 bedrooms are included as part of the hire for the couple’s suite, with the remaining 11 bedrooms available to book for family and friends on a bed and breakfast basis.
Dry hire is available on selected dates.
Venue hire starts from approximately £3,000 for a weekday wedding in January.
For larger weddings in the Atrium with the full 288 seated and 500 for the evening, budget from approximately £50,000 upwards.
Staying At & Getting To Botleys Mansion

Botleys Mansion has 12 bedrooms on site. The Botleys Suite for the newlyweds, plus 11 further bedrooms for family and close friends.
For guests who need additional accommodation nearby, Chertsey, Weybridge and Woking all have a range of hotels within 15 minutes of the venue.
Botleys Mansion is in Chertsey, Surrey, just minutes from Junction 11 on the M25. From central London, it’s approximately 30 minutes by car. From Heathrow Airport it’s around 15 minutes. Gatwick is approximately 40 minutes.
The nearest train station is Chertsey, served by South Western Railway from London Waterloo, with a journey time of around 45 minutes. From Chertsey station, the mansion is a short taxi ride.
There is ample free parking on site for all guests.

03 / Is Dry Hire Available At Botleys Mansion?
On selected dates. Botleys Mansion is one of the few Surrey venues of this level to offer dry hire. This is particularly popular with Asian wedding couples who want to bring their own catering team.

Up to 131 in the Green Room for a ceremony. Up to 288 in the Atrium for the ceremony and wedding breakfast. Up to 500 for the evening celebration. All capacities are for the exclusive use of the whole house.
