In between the charming Richmond Upon Thames and Petersham lies the magnificent and luxurious Bingham Riverhouse Hotel with perfectly looked after stylish décor.
It is an exclusive hotel with a London vibe, but a very countryside feeling. The Bingham Riverhouse is an amiable space, and although it is a boutique hotel, it is very homely.
The elegant interior of each room is unique, and each Bingham Riverhouse hotel room named after a poem by Michael Fields. Every room at The Bingham Riverhouse has everything you’d expect in a modern elegant boutique hotel.
The Bingham Riverhouse serves exquisite modern British cuisine with an A la carte menu focusing on local and British sourced foods. The beautiful lawns extend on to a path next to the River Thames, and is perfect for walks and portraits!
The wedding ceremony is, usually, performed in the garden rooms, which opens up on to the terrace and a well maintained and lush English garden. The hotel can seat up to 120 guests for your wedding ceremony and the number going up to 150 guests for evening receptions.
If you want more privacy, then it’s possible to hire the entire hotel for your wedding celebrations. The bars, restaurants, and shops of Richmond Upon Thames are within a stroll of The Bingham.
Also, The Bingham is the perfect wedding venue as guests can visit Richmond’s Royal Park or world-famous sites, such as Kew Gardens, and Hampton Court Palace.
The Bingham Wedding Photographer
It’s infrequent that I photograph a wedding on my own. Many of my couples want photos of all the things they will miss, and having an additional photographer ensures they get more photos.
But today was a day was such a day. On the big day, I arrived at the couple’s home in Richmond. The bride and groom were inside, chilled, with their friends and family.
I did have the pleasure to meet and work with Camilla, the hair and makeup stylist, with whom I’ve worked with before. She always makes it easy for me to do my job.
The groom left with his sons, to get ready at The Bingham Riverhouse. The bride and bridal party enjoyed champagne and good food while getting ready.
The room was enormous, with beautiful light throughout.
Once I’d got photos of the bridal party, I made my way to The Bingham Riverhouse to take pictures of the groom and his son’s getting ready in one of the hotel rooms.
The bride drove to The Bingham Riverhouse for the wedding with her bridesmaids.
The wedding ceremony took place inside garden rooms, and it was capped off by the bride and groom dancing back down the aisle after they had gotten married.
The canopied terrace held the reception and overlooked the garden and the River Thames. It did rain briefly, and everyone was thankful for the shelter under the canopied terrace.
The rest of the day was laid back and fun.
